The most important thing is that the technician can see the fault. So it is worth bringing to the branch not only the device itself, but also whatever helps to test it.

- a car stereo – preferably removed from the car, and, if you remember it, with the security code;

Before you come, make a note of when the fault appeared and what you heard or saw: crackling, a „protect” error, a flashing light. This information speeds up diagnostics considerably, and you can simply come during working hours.
What to do with faulty equipment before you bring it in
If the amplifier gives off a burning smell or is very hot, unplug it from the mains and do not try to switch it on again.
Do not plug equipment that has been soaked in liquid into the mains, and do not try to dry it on a heater. It is better to bring it in as soon as possible just as it is: oxidation continues to spread even in a switched-off device.
Do not open the cover or put your hands inside the device – in amplifiers, capacitors that hold a dangerous voltage remain charged even after they are disconnected from the mains.
