We accept equipment at the Kaunas branch on weekdays, Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00. The branch is closed on weekends, so if you work late, it is worth planning your visit in advance. The branch is at Savanorių prospekto 155, on the Zanavykų market side, next to the „Bzz” pizzeria and the „Grožio galerija” salon, in the building that used to house a post office.
When you come, bring everything that helps reproduce the fault, and briefly tell us what happened: whether the sound disappeared suddenly, or whether the device had been heating up, clicking or smelling beforehand.
- the amplifier, receiver or music centre – with the power cable and the remote control, if you have one;
- the wireless speaker – with the charger and the cable used to charge it;
- the car stereo or audio unit – if possible, together with the connection plugs; if the equipment is code-protected, bring the code;
- a description of the fault: with what sound, from what source and at what volume level it appeared.
If the sound disappeared in one channel, tell us whether the problem persists with other speakers and another source – this shortens the fault search.
What happens when you leave your equipment
First we carry out fault diagnostics – diagnostics costs 10 €. Then we know what has failed and can state the repair price; repair of home audio equipment starts from 20 €, and car audio equipment from 25 €. After diagnostics we provide the repair price, and you make the decision before the repair begins.
Repairs come with a 2-month warranty. If your audio equipment was damaged by an event covered by insurance, we can prepare a defect report for the insurance company – it costs 30 €.
When it is worth repairing and when not to wait
Repair usually pays off when the fault is clear and the equipment is in good condition: a „protect” or „alarm” error is displayed, one channel disappears, the device does not read discs, or the car stereo does not go to sleep and drains the battery. If you smell burning, unplug the equipment from the mains socket, if it is safe to do so, and do not switch it on again – repeated attempts may cause more damage. The same applies to equipment that has had liquid spilled on it: do not switch it on, and bring it in as soon as possible.
