- the TV itself – if possible, removed from the wall or stand; you can leave the stand and bracket at home if they are not related to the fault
- the power cable – so that we can check whether the TV turns on
- the remote control, if the fault may be related to its commands
- a short description of when and how the fault appeared: after a thunderstorm, a move, a power surge, or completely unexpectedly
Before bringing it in, write down or photograph what the screen shows or how the indicator light blinks – this helps narrow down the possible causes of the fault more quickly.
What happens after you leave your TV
First, we carry out diagnostics – it costs 10 €. The technician’s goal is to find out which component has failed: the power or control board, the screen backlight, the driver or a socket. Then you will learn the cause of the fault and the repair price, and can decide whether to go ahead with the repair.

When a TV repair is worthwhile
The decision is most often determined by the type of fault. A socket repair costs from 25 €, software reflashing from 20 €, and a power board repair from 40 €. More expensive cases include, for example, a screen backlight repair when there is sound but no picture (from 50 €).
Also be careful about trying to open the TV yourself. Capacitors in the power board can hold voltage even after the cable is unplugged, and a failed attempt often does more harm than the original fault.
If your TV is insured, you will need a defect report – we issue it for 30 €, and the costs are covered by the insurance.
After a storm or power surge, do not switch the TV back on several times in a row – it is better to disconnect it from the mains and bring it in to be checked.
