Coffee machine repair is needed when your morning cup turns into a headache: the machine won’t switch on, it makes noise but doesn’t pour coffee, water leaks, or it constantly shows a descaling message. Most common coffee machine faults
Before bringing in your machine, try some simple checks. Some problems are caused by improper maintenance or settings rather than a real fault.
The coffee machine won’t switch on
The most common culprits are the power cord, the switch or an electronics fault. Sometimes the problem is simpler: a poorly inserted water tank or an open-door sensor.
What you can check yourself: Test the socket with another device and make sure the water tank and drip tray are fully inserted. Do not try to open the machine yourself – there is high voltage inside. More tips: what to do if the machine does not switch on at all.

The machine makes noise but doesn’t pour coffee
Clogged tubes or valve, limescale deposits, a clogged brew unit or a faulty pump.
What you can check yourself: Check that there is water in the tank and that it is properly inserted. If the machine shows a descaling message, run the descaling program specified by the manufacturer.
We repair the brew unit from 50 €, and descaling is carried out from 45 €.
Water leaks from the bottom of the machine
Worn seals, a clogged drain hose, an overfilled drip tray or a leaking brew unit.
What you can check yourself: Empty the drip tray and the grounds container, and check whether the water is clean or contains coffee grounds. Dirty water indicates a clogged drainage system.

Coffee is cold or too weak
Most often the water heater (boiler) is faulty or scaled up. Weak coffee can also be caused by a grind that is too coarse or a dose that is too small.
What you can check yourself: Choose a finer grind and fresh coffee, and use a larger dose. If the coffee is still cold, have the machine descaled.

The grinder runs but the coffee is not ground
The grind setting is too fine, the hopper is clogged, the grinder is worn, or there is a foreign object between the burrs.
What you can check yourself: Set a coarser grind and clean the bean hopper. Do not put your fingers or tools into a running grinder.

Coffee flows slowly or only drips
The grind is too fine, too much coffee is used, the brew unit or the sieve is clogged, or there are limescale deposits.
What you can check yourself: Change to a coarser grind and reduce the dose. If water drips even without coffee, the problem is deeper.

No hot water, only steam comes out
The machine may be „sucking in air” if the water tank is not seated properly; the tube may also be clogged or the pump faulty.
What you can check yourself: Switch off the machine, remove and refill the tank, insert it all the way in and switch the machine back on.

No milk foam
The steam nozzle or milk system is clogged, the steam pressure is too low, or the milk is unsuitable.
What you can check yourself: Remove and thoroughly rinse the steam nozzle and the milk system, and try fresh milk and a clean container.

The machine constantly shows the descaling message
There are many limescale deposits, the water is hard, or the previous program was not carried out properly.
What you can check yourself: Run the descaling program according to the instructions and use a suitable descaling agent. Do not use vinegar unless the manufacturer recommends it – it can damage the gaskets.

Water runs continuously through the spout
A continuous dispensing mode may be switched on, the dispensing nozzle may be dirty or clogged, or the valve may be faulty.
What you can check yourself: Check that the continuous brewing mode is not switched on and clean the dispensing nozzle.

Descaling: when it is needed and why a cleaning tablet is not enough
Limescale deposits build up in the tubes, boiler and valves, especially if the machine uses hard water. As a result, the coffee becomes cooler, the water flow slows down, and eventually the machine may stop making coffee altogether.

If the machine shows the descaling message, do not wait until the coffee stops flowing: a damaged boiler or brew unit costs more than timely cleaning.
Repair or buy a new machine
The solution depends on the model, age and fault. Replacing seals or descaling usually costs much less than a new automatic machine, so in such cases repair is almost always worthwhile.
You should think harder when several components have failed at once, or when the machine is already old and inexpensive. In that case, it is best to first pay for diagnostics: once you know the exact cause and the price, you can decide without guesswork.

How to extend the life of your machine
Most faults can be avoided with simple habits. Rinse the drip tray and the milk system every day, change the water regularly and use a filter if the manufacturer specifies one.
Descale the machine at the intervals specified by the manufacturer, and more often in areas with harder water. Also, do not put oily or flavored beans into the grinder unless the instructions allow it.

- Price and timeframe. Before starting any work, we let you know what has failed, how much the repair will cost and how long it will take.
- Repair or descaling. After your approval, we carry out the repair, replace parts, or clean and descale the machine.
- Pick-up and warranty. You collect the machine and receive information about the work performed. We provide a 2-month warranty for the repair or replacement of the grinder, boiler, brew unit and seals.
