Coffee machine repair in Vilnius: what to bring to the branch

The Vilnius branch is located in Žirmūnai, inside the RIMI store, under the “ELMEISTRAI” sign. We work Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00; the branch is closed on weekends.

Bring the machine itself with its power cable. If the fault is related to milk, also bring the parts of the milk system, and if coffee does not come out – the water tank and the drip tray, so that the technician can see how the machine was used.

  • Empty the machine before transporting it: pour out the water, the coffee grounds container and the drip tray.
  • It is best to empty the bean container or at least close its lid so the beans do not spill during transport.
  • Briefly write down when the fault appeared and what the display showed – this shortens diagnostics.
  • If the machine is insured, tell us in advance: for 30 € you can obtain a fault inspection report for the insurance company.

Transport the machine upright, wrapped in a towel or placed in a cardboard box – this will protect the plastic housing parts and the water tank.

What happens after you leave the machine

Diagnostics are carried out first – they cost 10 €. The technician checks whether the problem lies in the grinder, boiler, brew unit, seals or electronics, and tells you roughly how much the repair will cost. Only then do you decide whether to continue with the repair.

The repair time depends on the fault and on whether parts need to be replaced, so it is best to get an exact timeframe after diagnostics. A 2-month warranty is provided for grinder, boiler, brew unit and seal repairs, as stated in the price list.

You can find all services and prices on the main coffee machine repair page.

When a coffee machine is worth repairing

Repair is usually worthwhile when the fault is clear and localized: a worn seal, a boiler clogged with limescale or a blocked brew unit. Descaling and cleaning often return the machine to normal operation without replacing major parts.

It is worth considering a new machine when the repair cost approaches half the price of a similar new machine, or when there are several faults at once. We discuss this question for office machines in more detail in the article when to repair and when to replace a coffee machine.

Regular cleaning helps prevent some problems. How to do it at home is described in the coffee machine cleaning primer, and the signs of faults are explained in the article how to diagnose coffee machine faults.

Hard water causes limescale to build up in the boiler faster, so use filtered water and descale the machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
