Indicative prices are given in the table above: for example, repair of the power-on circuit or button starts from 15 €, motor repair or replacement from 25 €, and stick vacuum battery replacement from 20 €. The turnaround time depends on the fault and on whether parts need to be replaced, so it is best to discuss it at drop-off.
A 2-month warranty (according to the price list) is provided for motor repair and replacement, and for replacement of the power-on circuit, power control mechanism, cable reel, plug, internal mechanisms and battery. No warranty is given for replacement of broken housing parts or for fault diagnostics. We prepare the fault assessment report required by an insurance company for 30 €.
When a vacuum cleaner is worth repairing and when it is not
Many faults are minor: a worn-out motor, a broken button, a jammed cable reel or a depleted battery. In such cases repair often makes more sense than replacing the whole vacuum cleaner, but the final price is determined by diagnostics.
Before rushing to the branch, you can check a few things yourself in a few minutes. Suction often disappears not because of the motor, but because of a blockage.
- Check whether the bag or dust container is full and whether dust has built up in the filters.
- Look at the hose and tube – sometimes a sponge or a ball of hair gets stuck.
- Cut away hair and threads wrapped around the brush; they can stop the rotating roller.
- For a robot, wipe the sensors and charging contacts with a soft, dry cloth.
- Leave the battery of a cordless vacuum cleaner to charge fully and try it with a different socket.
If the vacuum cleaner still does not work after these checks, do not try to disassemble it yourself – it is better to leave the interior to a technician, especially when the motor or an electrical part is suspected.
