Console repair in Kaunas: what to bring to the branch

Depending on the fault, it is useful to have a few things with you. This speeds up diagnostics and helps avoid questions like „was everything really included?”.
- the console itself and the power cable – often the fault can only be reproduced with the original power supply;
- the controller, if the problem is related to it (analog sticks, charging, buttons);
- the disc, if the console does not read it;
- a short description of the fault: when it appeared, and whether there was a drop, liquid, overheating or a sudden shutdown.
If the console contains important game saves, make sure you have a backup copy or cloud sync. Data may be lost when replacing the hard drive or repairing the software.
What happens after you leave the console
First, diagnostics is carried out, which costs €10. It determines whether the fault is related to the power section, the HDMI port, cooling, the disc drive or the software. After that you can decide whether the repair is worthwhile for you and discuss the price.
Most jobs are completed within an estimated 3–5 working days. A warranty is provided on completed repairs; please confirm its duration and terms at the branch.

When a fault is worth repairing, and when to check things yourself first
Some problems can be solved without a repair. If the console is very noisy, switch it off and check that the ventilation openings are not clogged with dust and that the device is not standing in a closed cabinet. If there is no picture, try a different HDMI cable and a different TV input. We do not recommend opening the console yourself – this may damage the device or create a risk of electric shock.
If this does not help, the cause is probably internal. Such faults do occur, but the exact cause is determined by diagnostics. For example, a PS4 cooling system refresh starts from €25, and controller repair from €15, so it is not always necessary to replace the whole controller.
