PlayStation repair in Vilnius: what to bring to the branch
The branch is open Monday to Friday 9:00–18:00, closed on weekends. It is located inside the RIMI store, under the „ELMEISTRAI” sign.
To speed up diagnostics, bring the console itself, its power cable and, if the fault is related to the picture, an HDMI cable. If the controller is malfunctioning, bring it along with the console – this makes it easier to check whether the controller or the console’s USB ports are at fault.
- the console and the original power cable;
- an HDMI cable, if there is no picture or it flickers;
- the controller, if it drifts or won’t connect;
- a disc, if the console doesn’t read or scratches it;
- a short description of the fault: when it appeared and whether anything happened beforehand.
Before bringing it in, copy your saved games to the cloud or a USB storage device if the console still turns on – after some repairs or software resets, data may be lost.
What to check at home before you come
Some problems can be solved without repair. Try a different power outlet, a different HDMI cable and a different TV input port. You can also turn the console off, unplug it from power for a few minutes and turn it back on.
If your PS4 or PS5 turns off after a few minutes or makes a loud hum, the cause is most often dust and worn-out thermal paste. Check that the console stands in an open space and that its ventilation openings are not blocked. Do not open the console yourself: if disassembled incorrectly, it may be damaged even more than before.
What happens after you leave the console
Diagnostics are carried out first – to determine whether the problem is software or hardware related: power supply, HDMI port, disc drive, cooling or motherboard. The repair price depends on the fault and the model, so we state it only after diagnostics, once we know the real cause.
Once you receive the price, you can decide whether to go ahead with the repair. Ask at the branch for more precise timeframes, as they depend on the fault.
Simpler and more complex faults
Localized faults – clogged cooling, a faulty HDMI port, a disc drive or controller drift – are usually related to one specific component.
More complex cases – motherboard or video chip repair, for example when a PS3 shows a yellow light (YLOD). Such faults require more detailed diagnostics, so we give the exact price only after carrying them out.
If you have other consoles as well, see the console repair and unlocking page.
Frequently asked questions about PlayStation repair in Vilnius
How much does PlayStation repair in Vilnius cost?
The price depends on the fault and the console model, so we give it after diagnostics. It is impossible to name an amount in advance because, for example, replacing thermal paste and repairing a motherboard differ greatly.
When can I bring my console to the Vilnius branch?
Our Žirmūnai branch, located inside the RIMI store, is open Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00. We are closed on weekends.
Do you repair the PS5 and its controllers?
Yes, we repair PS3, PS4 and PS5 consoles, as well as DualShock and DualSense controllers, including those with stick drift or connection problems.
Can you perform a PS3 unlock?
